Research on the collaboration of consumers of their own needs with non-conventional power sources

Abstract

The purpose of the research work is to study the joint work of consumers of their own needs of traction substation with non-traditional power sources. To implement the use of alternative power on the railway, it is necessary to solve the follow-ing tasks: analyze all the own needs consumed by the traction substation; to make an analysis of the possibility of the location of alternative power sources on the territory of the traction substa-tion; to investigate how the power supply system of its own needs of the traction substation can work (both directly and in parallel operation). Summing up the study of the scientific work of consumers of their own needs of traction sub-station with non-traditional energy sources, we can note.  It is needed 900 m2 of total area to accommodate solar cells on the roof of the traction sub-station. The photovoltaic modules can be located on the roofs and there is enough space in the traction substation to accommodate batteries.  The analysis of the amount of annual electricity consumption for auxiliary needs of the traction substation was carried out. It was found that in January the highest average value of the consumed electricity was 717 kWh.  The power supply system of its own needs due to solar energy has the greatest effect when installing modules has 200 W, which works both directly and in parallel mode, and it is addition-ally possible to sell electricity at a green rate.
