RESEARCH REGARDING THE CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF THE VOLATILE OIL OF SOME TAXA BELONGING TO THE GENUS OCIMUM
Journal Title: Analele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iasi, Serie noua, Sectiunea II a. Biologie vegetala - Year 2011, Vol 57, Issue 1
Abstract
The chemical composition of the volatile oil of the species belonging to the genus Ocimum has been studied in the past and it continues to be studied because of the important qualities that the volatile oil has, the aim of this paper being to present the variation of chemical composition of the volatile oil of Ocimum minimum L. and Ocimum basilicum L. ‘Fino Verde’ that could be used in the future to obtain optimal pharmaceutical products.
