Abstract
The article considers the results of magnetic surveys conducted in the territory of Bolgar State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve in 2012–2015. The territory of Bolgar Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve is included in the list of UNESCO protected sites. Magnetic surveying is widely used in archaeological practice due to the high informativeness and efficiency of the method. The entire study area was subdivided into squares of 50Ч50 m, and magnetic surveying was conducted in each square according to a rectangular grid of 2Ч1 m, ensuring reliable identification of abnormal sites. A total of 63 sites were identified and classified in the course of the studies. The work on identification and classification of informative magnetic anomalies is currently underway.
