„Rewolucja Przemysłowa - 4.0” i jej wpływ na logistykę XXI wieku

Abstract

Practically the whole world is undergoing changes in an increasingly faster pace. The initial analysis indicates technological advances as a key factor. Not only are they the driving force of change in many areas of life, but they have also introduced revolutionary changes in the concepts of the operation of modern global economy and, at the same time, logistics. There have been a number of new concepts, predictions and the individual actions together with the question about the directions, scope and pace of transformations in logistics. One of such new considerations is the German concept of "Industry-4.0", whose introduction may have a huge importance for Polish logistics and other branches due to very strong links between German and Polish economies. Therefore, it is worth examining the assumptions of this concept and the consequences of its implementation in order not only to prepare to this new reality, but also take rational measures to adjust our logistics to the new needs and challenges. These issues were presented in the article.
