RIGHT TO LEGAL ASSISTANCE OF OWN CHOOSING IN THE DRAFTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL COVENANT ON CIVIL AND POLITICAL RIGHTS

Abstract
The article deals with right to legal assistance of own choosing in drafts of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. The negotiation process for the drafting of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights in the context of the genesis of the right to legal assistance, legal nature and ideas laid down by his developers in the abovementioned right are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the right to communicate with counsel.
