Abstract
Zakharchuk O.V. Vegetables market in Ukraine. Vegetable production is a specific branch of plant growing, which includes a large selection of vegetable crops grown under different technologies, with different shelf-life of vegetable products, with different cost and efficiency of its production. The globalization of the economy sharply raises the question of the development of certain agricultural sectors that can provide global food security. In addition, the transition of the agrarian sector of Ukraine to a market economy and Ukraine's membership in the WTO necessitate a scientific solution to a large number of issues related to the economic development of sectoral agro-sector complexes. The problems of development of the vegetable market in Ukraine under modern conditions are investigated. The theoretical and practical provisions for the formation of the vegetable market in Ukraine and the development of practical recommendations and directions for ensuring its effective functioning are substantiated. Based on the analysis of the balance of supply and demand, the capacity of the national vegetable market and the potential export opportunities of the vegetable market were investigated.
