RISK FACTORS THAT AFFECT BLOOD HYPERTENSION IN PREGNANT WOMEN AT CENTRO DE SALUD CISNE 2, GUAYAQUIL

Abstract

arterial hypertension is a disease of unknown and multifactorial origin. It complicates approximately 10% of all pregnancies. The hypertension de-finition is a condition that occurs from the twentieth week of pregnancy onward, du-ring childbirth and the puerperium, cha-racterized by high blood pressure, pro-teinuria, and edema. In the most severe cases, seizures and coma occur. Objec-tive: To determine the risk factors that affect arterial hypertension in pregnant women from the Cisne 2 Health Center, Guayaquil. Methods: The study was a quantitative, retrospective and descriptive approach. To know the behavior of each factors that have an impact on the read-mission of patients with Type II Diabetes a descriptive scope used. The population was 15 pregnant women who attended the emergency obstetric service of the Cisne 2 Health Center, considering two aspects: geographic and demographic. The type of sample used was census, and the po-pulation was finite to provide the oppor-tunity to all patients who are participants in the research and therefore reduce the index of the existence of bias in the re-search. The selection process developed randomly, guided by the theoretical para-meters posed by the definition of the type of simple random probability sampling.Results: 66.7% of the pregnant women have not received information about which are the risk factors for arterial hyperten-sion in pregnancy. Arterial hypertension was present in 46.7% of those surveyed, 53.3% affirmed not knowing that the lack of prenatal control can bring serious com-plications in their pregnancy, 60% would like to attend information workshops on hypertension and 60% believe that with the development of workshops it will be possible to achieve awareness of obste-tric risks during the pregnancy. Conclusion: This study gave us the re-sult that the greatest risk factor that affects arterial hypertension in pregnant women is the lack of knowledge about the disea-se and its serious consequences. That is why the importance of giving workshops so that they know about the subject and raise awareness of the risks that it could have in their pregnancy
