Rola Ubezpieczeniowego Funduszu Gwarancyjnego w zmieniających się warunkach rynku ubezpieczeniowego Insurance Guarantee Fund (IGF) versus changing conditions of the insurance market

Abstract
In the paper the acivity of the Insuarance Guarantee Fund in the years 1991 – 2012 has been presented by analysis of its functions and development of its role within the insurance sector. The changes of the IGF’s activities included functional and subjective range as well as changes of the IGF’s financial resposibility limits. Nowadays, the IGF plays the key role in stabilizing the situation on the insurance market with reference to modelling of the guarantee system, by realization of substancially broadened functions and active participation in implementing of new solutions and legislative undertakings on national and international forum.
