ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF THE INNOVATIVE COMPONENT PHD PREPARATION FOR PHILOSOPHY IN GREAT BRITAIN

Abstract

The article explores in detail and comprehensively the features and characteristics of PhD preparation in philosophy in the United Kingdom of Great Britain. It is reported that the curriculum of universities, incl. and the government does not control the PhD preparation, because in the UK there are quite a long and strong traditions regarding the autonomy of higher education institutions. At the same time, there is a Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), whose main prerogative is the control of non-state educational institutions. It is proved that in some philosophical faculties of this country specific forms of obtaining PhD-degree, in addition to the traditional manuscript of the thesis is "PhD by articles" and "PhD-practice". It is revealed that in the process of preparing specialists in philosophy in a number of universities there is a fairly wide choice regarding pedagogical (assistant practice)
