Role of Genetic factors in Development of Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 (Literature Review)
Journal Title: Міжнародний ендокринологічний журнал - Year 2012, Vol 42, Issue 2
Abstract
In the article there is presented the review of literature data on role of genetic markers in development of diabetes mellitus type 1. On the basis of this there was made a conclusion that diabetes mellitus type 1 can be considered as heterogenic combination of autoimmune processes and genetic mechanisms. Molecular genetic typing opens a prospect not only to increase sharply the efficacy of formation of risk groups on diabetes mellitus type 1 development, but also to work out the methods of preclinical diagnostics and individual prognosis of disease in absolute insulin deficiency.
