The information gathered through interviews was analyzed with the help of a SWOT matrix. This helped determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of using social media in language learning. Findings: The information gathered through the interviews suggests that social media has considerable benefits and advantages. The advantages provide the learners with an enhanced learning experience. However, on the other hand, the drawbacks of using social media hinder learning and impact the correct use of language. Conclusion: The present study proves that social media can positively affect language learning. However, along with the advantages, there are drawbacks as well. Social media's threats can significantly hinder learning, particularly for language learners.
