Abstract
Articolul descrie poziţia ţării noastre în contextul economico-social actual european (Uniunea Europeană). Autorii s-au concentrat asupra celor mai importante probleme: populaţia, forţa de muncă (ocuparea), inflaţia, producţia industrială şi agricolă, comerţul internaţional şi alte aspecte. Pe bază de date oficiale şi utilizând indicatori relevanţi, s-a încercat să se prezinte situaţia României în cadrul Uniunii Europene.
