Abstract

The procedures associated with obtaining academic degrees are discussed in the Act on Academic Degrees and the Academic Title (consolidated text in Dz. U. 2014, item 1852; amended: Dz. U. 2015, item 249) and the decree on detailed procedures and conditions of conducting activities in the process of commencing a doctor degree conferral procedure (Dz. U. 2014, item 1383). From October 1 st, 2014, a doctoral dissertation must be a consecutive important scientific work of a person applying for a doctoral degree (art. 11 passage 2 of the act). A university library, in the frame of its own statutory tasks, can provide free access to already published works including doctoral dissertations; may, as well, provide these pieces for the purpose of research and cognitive aspects by means of terminals of the university computer system situated at the university area (art. 28 points: 1 and 3 of copyright law), only if these items are included in the collection of the library. It is not allowed, without the author’s permission, to transmit a copy of the doctoral dissertation to another library, including regional or any other digital library. O procedurach związanych z uzyskaniem stopni naukowych mówi ustawa o stopniach naukowych i tytule naukowym ... (j. t. w Dz. U. 2014, poz. 1852; zm. w Dz. U. 2015, poz. 249) oraz rozporządzenie w sprawie szczegółowego trybu i warunków przeprowadzania czynności w przewodzie doktorskim, ... (Dz. U. 2014, poz. 1383). Od 1 października 2014 r. rozprawa doktorska musi być kolejnym ważnym utworem naukowym osoby ubiegającej się o stopień doktora (art. 11 ust. 2 ustawy). Biblioteka uczelni może udostępniać nieodpłatnie, w zakresie swoich zadań statutowych, utwory roz- powszechnione, w tym także rozprawy doktorskie, może również udostępniać te egzemplarze dla celów badawczych lub poznawczych za pośrednictwem końcówek uczelnianego systemu informatycznego (terminali) znajdujących się na jej terenie (art. 28 pkt 1 i 3 ustawy o prawie autorskim), jeśli te egzemplarze wchodzą w skład zbiorów tej biblioteki. Nie wolno, bez zgody twórcy, przekazać egzemplarza rozprawy doktorskiej innej bibliotece, w tym także regionalnej lub innej bibliotece cyfrowej
