Abstract
Natalia Mandra, Nadezda Kharchenko. Market of insurance services, trends, directions of improvement. Within the process of Ukraine’s European integration Domestic Insurance Market development plays a crucial role in the enlargement of the financial services sector. That is actually the reason why Insurance Market Research, as well as the analysis of trends and possible ways of upgrading are relevant for our country’s development. Preliminary Key Performance Indicators and market activity of the Ukrainian Insurance Market were analyzed and described in this study. Generally, the evaluation found that number of Domestic Insurance Companies and agreements together with insurers’ assets tend to decrease. Thus, not only the level of insurance settlement payments (regarding certain types of risks) is declining, but also the level of life – and personal insurance. After all, insufficient capitalization of insurance and their low ability of pay compensation according to the certain risk types have been identified. In order to introduce trends and gain the concentration of the Insurance Market development, financial steadiness and Ukrainian insurers’ stability should be raised. With the intention of restoring confidence in the Ukrainian insurance industry it was offered to replace the general State compulsory insurance by the system of direct financial compensations. These funds could have been allocated from the state budget and provided on the basis of financial supplies of the corresponding state bodies. Finally it was concluded that new, effective and interesting for the populating forms of Financial Insurance Serves should be introduced to the public.
