Sadiq Wijdani and His Religious Works

Abstract
Sadiq Wijdani, was a versatile statesman who passed away three quarters of a century ago. By writing books and giving speeches in order to prevent the moral decadence in the society in his day, Therefore he wrote basic explanatory books showing how to perform the acts of worship for the benefit of Muslim brothers and also authored a catalogue (fihrist) to facilitate searching and finding a verse or a chapter of the Qur'an. Moreover Wijdani composed works relating to the sufi orders (turuq), studied the origins of the sufi concepts and strove to correct the public's misconceptions of the sufism. Wijdani expressed in words his reaction to the attacks against the Prophet Muhammad. This paper presents some evaluations of Wijdani's life and his religious books.
