SCIENTIFIC JOURNALISM: FEATURES OF FUNCTIONING AND MAIN TASKS

Abstract
Introduction. Nowadays, development of the Ukrainian scientific journalism is in its infancy now. World trends of the scientific journalism testify that the information circulation between scientific world and society is on the higher level in Europe and across the ocean. Society needs to get knowledge about life and achievements of science, also about problems and development prospects of its branches. The real task for Ukrainian science and journalism is to cooperate and exchange information. Results. In this article are considered features of functioning and main tasks of scientific journalism. It is identified main problems of this activity and interoperability of “scientist-journalist”. It is also showed the main tasks of scientists, which will help to bring Ukrainian science to wider audience. Discussion. Further researches on this topic will help to realize the program of scientific journalism development at academic institutions, research institutes and universities.
