SCIENTIFIC LIBRARY AND INTERNET: INTERACTION OF INFORMATIONAL SOURCES, VITAL QUESTIONS OF MODERN LIFE

Abstract
The author studies the current state of cooperation between the two most important sources of information – book depository and the Internet using the method of analytic and comparative analysis. Special attention is paid to the merits and demerits of this interaction. The demerits of Internet consist in plenty of information and uncertainty in authenticity. It is emphasized that the work of the Internet depends on various factors: natural disasters, wars, hackers that may completely block access to electronic information. It is concluded that scientific libraries further and further gaining popularity as institutions that reliably meet the diverse professional needs and demands of users in relation to their industrial and scientific activity. Noted that the book is the primary origin of information, reliable keeper of the knowledge of humanity.
