Selection of Officers Personnel in the Land Forces, as an example of the implementation of selected component of Personnel Function in the Public Organization

Abstract

Polish Armed Forces, including the Land Forces, are changing constantly since its accession to international security structures. In both the technological and social, legal and formal requirements generate decisions and actions that make the Land Forces a modern organization. In this time the Land Forces are self-perfecting and developing the strength of their potential as well. The military officers are creators of this hard process. They represent the most important human resource of the military organization at all levels of command and in all aspects of the military functioning. Such an approach forces the role of officers in the personnel function of particular concern to the appropriate selection of staff officers, their development and improvement. The only one effective solution is to create specific model of staff selection. This model will allow optimally use qualification of potential army candi-dates to serve for their country with dedication.
