SELF-TRAINING OF STUDENTS WITHIN THE SYSTEM OF HIGHER PEDAGOGICAL EDUCATION

Abstract

Training students in general devices to organize their activity plays a significant role in the forming of their self-training abilities. This allows them to facilitate their self-guided work, concentrate their attention on the contents of tasks, diverts them from overcoming minor problems arising in the process of work. To these abilities one can refer these ones: a skill to process information, a skill to learn and interpret instrumental and vocal works, a skill to plan their self-educational activity rationally, a skill to analyze problems, to classify, to compare, to generalize, etc. The results of scientific research give enough grounds to affirm that students’ pedagogical practice is one of the most important components of the process of the methodical training targeted to the future teachers of Music at an institution of higher education. Despate the elaborations in the field of certain directions of the future teachers’ professional pedagogical training initiated by scientists, the issues concerning students’ theoretical training in different kinds of self-guided educational activity are still unsolved. That is why pedagogical practice still remains a complicated stage for a student-musician. One of the ways how students can overcome difficulties on their way to mastering practical professional competencies is self-preparation for pedagogical practice based on personal relationships, independent acquisition of knowledge, formation of a pedagogical position, readiness for creativity and self-cognition. Taking the abovementioned into consideration, in our research we pay focus attention on one of the kinds of students’ self-guided educational activity – self-training, mechanisms and conditions of its organization. Selection, evaluation, reconsideration, mental playing of an academic situation, its planning and predicting (mastering inner theoretical acts) are the organization components of students’ self-training for pedagogical practice in the process of musical education. We mean the process of students’ self-training during which they not only learn information but also become active participants who solve problems, understand sources of knowledge and notions. In the process of this approach to self-preparation, students realize easier the reasons of difficulties, evaluate the found ways of solving tasks, learn to compare them with the previous experience. Besides, the practice-oriented approach requires substantial conversions and additions of students’ knowledge regarding the organization of the self-preparation process for pedagogical practice. This stipulates elaboration of the person-oriented technologies used at all stages of pedagogues’ education. The solution of these problems spurs pedagogues to direct their efforts at widening the arsenal of students’ skills and abilities, facilitates going beyond the solution of pedagogical problems according to set models.
