Semiotics of world-modeling
Journal Title: Науковий вісник Міжнародного гуманітарного університету. Серія «Філологія» - Year 2018, Vol 32, Issue 1
Abstract
The article addresses language means representing clusters of objects constituting the space traditionally interpreted as WORLD. Etymological analysis of the concept’s names allowed reconstructing universal meanins (iconic codeons) typical for European language worldviews where they function as irrational interpretational filters as well as basic operators involved in verbal world modeling. The article targets designation units denoting WORLD in Germanic, Slavic and Celtic texts of diverse chronology.
