Shear and Seismic Performance Analysis of New Component Connection Schemes for Urban Rail Transit Prefabricated Underground Stations

Journal Title: Urban Mass Transit - Year 2024, Vol 27, Issue 4

Abstract

Objective To further promote the application of underground prefabricated structures in urban rail transit projects, research on key technologies (especially new component connection schemes) is conducted for the entry/exit construction of open-excavation prefabricated urban rail transit stations. Method A prefabricated entry/exit structure for urban rail transit stations is designed, consisting of two same-sized unequal C-shaped standard components spliced together (with two transverse cracks). Based on this structure, a new type of component connection scheme is proposed. Through model experiments and numerical simulations, the shear and seismic performance of the new connection node is studied. Under different loading conditions, various performance indicators, such as load-displacement curve, shear behavior, seismic energy dissipation, and ductility are obtained to validate the reliability of the new connection node. Result & Conclusion The shear bearing capacity of the prefabricated component sections is significantly higher than that of traditional cast-in-place sections. The presence of section steel can ensure the shear resistance capacity of the specimen. The ′socket interface+section steel insert plate′ is a reliable connection method, with its various performances roughly equivalent to those of the cast-in-place specimens. Changes in the insertion length of the section steel have minimal impact on cracks at the joint and their maximum bearing capacity. It is recommended to choose a steel insertion length that is consistent with component thickness.
