Abstract
The work investigates the temporal manifestations of legal certainty in the implementation of legal proceedings. The state of international judicial practice on this issue has been studied. A comparative analysis of the national legal proceedings and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights on the timely examination of cases was carried out. It is pointed out the shortcomings existing in our country on the application by the courts of legal acts in the reverse order in time, unannounced norms and those that do not correspond to the principle of the quality of legislation.
