Abstract
The article investigates the main approaches to the definition of “prophylaxis”. The problems of correlation of categories “prophylaxis”, “prevention” and “persuasion” are considered. As a result of an analysis of the provisions of the regulatory framework and practice of the activities of the National Police regarding economic security, the concept of the latter has been defined and a list of its measures regarding economic security in the activities of the National Police has been outlined. The signs and concepts of preventive activities of the National Police regarding economic security on the basis of the law and practice of their activities are determined.
