Signal propagation in multi-wire cables
Journal Title: Scientific Journal of Polish Naval Academy - Year 2015, Vol 203, Issue 4
Abstract
The article presents the analysis of the influence of the pulses propagating in the wires of a multi-wire cables. Special attention was drawn to the process of pulses inducing in the wires to which no pulse signal was provided. The pulses interaction occur in those sections of a cable where a change of wave impedance causing a change in the reflectance is present. The pulse interaction changes its shape and amplitude. This pulse interaction can be used to diagnose the technical condition of the electric power and telecommunication cables.

An approach to the corrosion analysis of bulk carrier hull structure
Numerous bulk carrier hull structural damage analyses are based on the study of fatigue of materials and corrosion processes. Different theoretical and empirical models have been developed to describe the time-dependent...
Estymacja parametrów rozkładu Nakagamiego opisującego kanał z zanikami
W artykule przedstawiono estymatory rozkładu Nakagamiego. Rozkład ten jest często stosowany do modelowania transmisji w kanale radiokomunikacyjnym z zanikami, ponadto dobrze aproksymuje inne rozkłady.
Data visualization of marine objects on digital maps
The paper presents the implementation of two multithreaded applications for data visualization of marine objects written in C#, designed to run on operator consoles with 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 OS. The article describ...
Deduplication of tracked objects position data at single observation point of a Vessel Monitoring System
Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) play a major role in safety navigation. In most cases they are based on two data sources, namely Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Automatic Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA). Integration...
