Journal Title: Мultiversum. Philosophical almanac - Year 2017, Vol 0, Issue 3
Abstract
Describing similarities and differences between the approaches of theology and religious studies towards religious conflict resolution is the purpose of this study. The research analyzed works of such authors as K.Antonov, V.Dokash, M.Zelenkov, H.Küng, Z.Silaeva, M.Juergensmeyer. The study argued that in the search for solutions to religious conflicts, religious studies focus on the phenomenological level of religious life, while theology focuses on the normative one. It was shown that taking into account both aspects makes resolution of the religious conflicts more effective.
