SIMULAND - A CODE TO ANALYZE DYNAMIC EFFECTS DURING LANDING
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2010, Vol 2, Issue 1
Abstract
The landing gear of an aircraft is part of the aircraft structure. It is the most critical part of the flight mission and also the component that will likely cause the most problems in the aircraft design. The landing gear design combines the best in mechanical, structural and hydraulic design. The designed landing gear should be able to meet the specifications and requirements imposed by the CS23. SIMULAND-01 is a program intended to analyze a reduced model (4-30 DoF) of the aircraft under transient dynamic loads during the landing phase (touchdown).

Numerical considerations regarding the simulation of an aircraft in the approaching phase for landing
This paper deals with numerical considerations regarding the simulation of the attitude of an aircraft in the approaching phase for landing. The state of the art is analyzed in the first section; the description of the p...
Advanced composite materials of the future in aerospace industry
Since Orville and Wilbur Wright first decided to power their Flyer with a purpose built, cast aluminium engine to meet the specific requirements for power to weight ratio, new materials have been necessary to improve and...
Acoustic investigation on nozzles with different types of six lobed chevrons
This paper deals with a few aspects of the notion of chevron and the process that helps reducing the noise pollution. Based on the gas dynamic and geometrical parameters of a single flow jet engine a model of CFD data pr...
A new approach in the numerical simulation for the blood flow in large vessels
In this paper we are proposing a new approach in the numerical simulation of the blood flow in large vessels. The initial conditions are set to be compatible with the non-Newtonian model used. Numerical experiments in st...
