СИМВОЛІЧНИЙ МЕХАНІЗМ ПОЛІТИЧНОЇ ПРОПАГАНДИ

Abstract
Стаття присвячена розкриттю особливостей функціонування символічного механізму політичної пропаганди. Автор визначає символічний механізм пропаганди як систему взаємопов’язаних символів, комплексний вплив яких перетворює індивідів та соціальні групи на слухняні інструменти інформаційно-психологічної боротьби за владу. У статті доводиться, що символи відіграють роль носіїв смислів, з яких конструюються символічні універсуми та світи як певні знаково-символічні системи для виправдання політичних порядків, рішень та проектів політичного розвитку. Визначено, що ключовою річчю у функціонуванні символічного механізму пропаганди є конструювання значущості та престижності певного роду соціальної реальності, політики, діяльності, досвіду та часу. Встановлено, що символічний механізм пропаганди забезпечує приписування значень речам, подіям та особам з тим, щоб вдало для претендентів на здійснення влади структурувати сприйняття потоку реальності. Цей механізм складається з таких компонентів як номіналізація, міфологізація, метафорізація та ритуалізація. The article is devoted to revealing features of the mechanism of symbolical political propaganda functioning. The author defines the symbolical mechanism of propaganda as a system of interrelated symbols, complex effect of which turns individuals and social groups into obedient tools of information and psychological struggle for power. In the propaganda system, a symbol acts as a desire. From view of the propagandists, it is the desire to attract as many subjects of socio-political relations as possible into the influence of the "symbolic umbrella" of a particular slogan, an idea or a flag, to impose its will, to make obedient force. In the article it is proved that the symbols take the role of meaning carriers, from which symbolic universes and worlds are constructed as certain sign-symbolic system to justify political orders, decisions and projects of political development. It is determined that a key thing in the symbolic functioning of the mechanism of propaganda is to construct the significance and prestige of a certain kind of social reality, policy, activities, experience and time. It is established that the symbolic mechanism of propaganda provides attributing values to things, events and persons in order to structure the perception of the flow of reality well enough for actors which exercise of political power. This mechanism consists of components such as nominalization, mythology, metaphorization and ritualization. Nominalization is a mechanism of assigning and fixing the values to certain elements of the structure of political reality by using verbal-symbolic system. Mythologization is a process of design, distribution and development of the myths which explain and structure political reality, mobilizing individuals, groups and the masses to support certain political forces. Metaphorization is a process of symbolic structuring of reality by means of indirect value words by purpose of giving meaning. Ritualization is a mechanism for the dissemination and strengthening the relevance of political ideas in the form of emotional-sensual images by synchronizing symbols approved in the mass consciousness. The author argues that, thanks to the symbolic mechanism, propaganda penetrates into all spheres of life, imposing or changing the meaning. The symbolic mechanism of propaganda ensures the functioning of power, expanding the prospects for ruling infinitely. In addition, the symbolic mechanism allows the propaganda to act hidden, thereby determining its effectiveness.
