Abstract
The article deals with the symbolic content of the architecture of Soviet Ukraine in the 1920-1930s. The peculiarities of the formation of the architecture of constructions in the style of constructivism and its formalistic direction, as well as in postconstructivism, were explored. It was found out that the architectural heritage of postconstructivism had stylistic features that are characteristic of the transitional period.
