Abstract
The Article concerning the European Ombudsman, which investigates complaints about maladministration in the institutions and bodies of the European Union. A complaint to the European Ombudsman can be made by a citizen of a Member State of the Union or reside in a Member State, also Businesses, associations or other bodies with a registered office in the Union. Powstanie Instytucji Europejskiego Rzecznika Praw Obywatelskich miało być gwarantem ich zachowania. Ombudsman stojąc na straży ochrony obywateli unijnych przed złym administrowaniem i przeciwdziałając arbitralności władzy, daje pewność, że prawa te będą przez organy administracji unijnej respektowane. Warto zatem, aby działalność Europejskiego Rzecznika Praw Obywatelskich została obywatelom unijnym w sposób przystępny przybliżona.
