Abstract
Transmission coefficient of double quantum well triple barrier structure is numerically computed for triangular geometries. Propagation matrix method (PMM) is used for computation purpose over GaAs/Al x Ga 1 - x As material system within type - I limit. Effective mass mismatch at junctions are considered throughout the analysis by varying the mole fraction of Al, and conduction band dis continuity is also taken into account as function of material constitution. Structural parameters are varied to observe the resonant tunneling effect by shift of transmission peaks. Results are compared with identical rectangular well structures. Results are important for low - bias resonant tunneling application.
