slugTransient and Steady State Analysis of Fin Using FEM for Different Material
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2014, Vol 2, Issue 6
Abstract
Fins are used to augment the rate of heat transfer. Generally, the material used for the application of fins arealuminium alloys. In this present work Thermal behaviour of cylindrical fin is numerically investigated using Ansys APDL Software for different materials like Copper, AA1100, AA2011,AA3105. Transient and steady state analysis is carried out for the cylindrical fin under the convection and a specified base temperature condition. The length, base thickness, and end thickness of the fin is specified. Thermal conductivity of the fin material is specified. A constant temperature condition is applied at the base of the fin convective boundary conditions applied at the tip of the fin. Comparative study is being done among the fin material here used to find out the best material under the conditions. Base heat transfer rate, time to reach steady state, temperature distribution at different times, steady state temperature distribution is investigated.

Introduction to IEEE 802.11 Rogue Access Point Detection Mechanism Using Covert Channel
The problem of providing protection to the user from a rogue access point is a big problem today. To protect against the rogue access point through existing mechanism is by using IEEE 802.1x. However, it is difficult to...
Performance of Diesel Engine Using Jatropha and Karanja Biodiesel
Biodiesel is an alternative fuel of diesel, is described as fatty acid methyl ester from vegetable oils or animal fats. The main objectives of the present work is to reduce higher viscosity of Pongamia Pinnata (Karanja)...
QRS Detection and Data Compression Based On Adaptive Algorithm in a Wireless Wearable Sensor
The paper presents the QRS detection and data compression based on LMS algorithm in a wireless wearable sensor. The proposed method achieves a high sensitivity of 99.64% and positive prediction of 99.81% ECG database. T...
Design and Analysis of Water Hammer Effect in a Network of Pipelines
There will be a chance for the destruction of the system due to transient if it is not provided with adequate protection devices. Generally, transient takes place when parameters involving in conventional flow are disto...
slugEffect of Angle of Incidence on Stability Derivatives of A Wing
In the Present paper effect of angle of incidence on pitching derivatives of a delta wing with curved leading edges of a attached shock case is been studied. A Strip theory is used in which strips at different span wise...
