SOCIAL ACCEPTANCE TOWARDS INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES AND SOCIAL WORK PRACTICES

Abstract
This study aims to reveal the importance of social acceptance towards individuals with intellectual disabilities and to evaluate social work practices that can be done to increase social acceptance. In the study, the concept of social acceptance, intellectual disability, approaches to individuals with intellectual disabilities and the effects of these approaches on social acceptance are explained. In this context, it has been discussed how social services for people with intellectual disabilities can be organized and the level of social acceptance can be improved.
