SOCIAL CONTEXT OF LITHUANIAN ACADEMIC STUDIES: STUDENTS’ POINT OF VIEW

Abstract

The inquiry covered all the study areas, included in the Study Fields’ Classification List by the Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science. In this paper the overview of Lithuanian students’ point of view concerning eight major topics is presented: 1) studies motivation; 2) studies requirements and students psychological reactions; 3) quality of the life; 4) financial resources; 5) higher education fees; 6) student loans: needs and possibilities; 7) national identity and emigrational attitudes; 8) political and civic participation.
