Social Inclusion of Disabled People: Turkey, the United States, and Japan

Abstract

People with disabilities face many barriers to participate in social life as normal people. Although there have been some improvements to remove these obstacles, they are inadequate. This study examine the social inclusion with disabilities in Turkey, USA and Japan. It seems that main problems are social attitutes and behaviors towards disabled people that are similar in Turkey and Japan. This essay describes and analyzes education and employment policies for disabled people. All countries have some regulations to promete inclusive policies, but there are still some diffucilties in practice. This article tries to develop some solutions in order to prevent social exclusion.
