Social problematics in television news: the survey of theoretic practices

Abstract
In the article the main investigations regarding the display of social problem in television news are analyzed and generalized. As our research has shown, the social problematics as a certain intense social situation or event has different interpretations in both the practical sphere of journalism and in scienti¿ c dimension. In Ukrainian journalism as well as in the global one, ¿ rst of all there were formed the general concepts and rules of media-material construction, events and phenomena exposure, and only quite recently, practically for the past decades, the Ukrainian journalistic practice and science have been aiming for adhering to the humanistic criterion of the social problem exposure. The historiography of studying this issue is connected with scienti¿ c achievements as well as legal and recommendation documents. The characteristic feature of all normative codes and statutes is that virtually all of them are quite general because they were developed to be relevant for print media as well as for the radio, television and Internet publications.
