Social values and Islamic traditions and their basic causes: in the context of the Umayyad period

Abstract

Whether developed or developing, the nation is well aware of his its history. In the advancements of the nations, the lesson from the history and to develop accordingly, the knowledge of history plays a vital role. Islamic history is very unique and dignified among the histories of nations. We are required to learn our noble history for the survival of Islamic thinking and civilization. But unfortunately when we open our books on history, we come across with the stories of the kings and the victories instead of Islamic thinking, education, educational institutions and civilization. This article presents an analytical study of the protecting efforts related to Islamic culture in the golden era of Banu Abbas. One of the factors of development was that the Mothers of faithful and the companions of the prophet were there in this period and due to their noble teachings, Islamic values remained intact. For the research the era of Bnu Abbas is selected, because in Hadith this one is counted among the best periods ofthe history.
