Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of media influence on the formation of values in senior students. The authors of the article argue that the youth age is a period of intensive formation of the system of value orientations, which influences the formation of character and personality in general. One of the main institutes of socialization of adolescents and young men is the media. Teenagers and young people easily fall under the manipulative influence of the media due to the lack of a critical attitude towards the influence of the media on them. The results of the experimental study showed that for most senior students, television is a source of diverse information and a means of spending free time. However, the results of the study also showed that modern high school students have rather low indicators of social adaptability and propensity to humanistic norms of life, that is, morality.
