Socio – Economic Effects of Sugar Mills on Workers

Abstract
This paper analyzes the socio-economic impacts of the Indian sugar cane industry, examining the characteristics of the workforce, pay and working conditions. In this paper we have emphasizes on the socio-economic effect on workers due to sugar mills. For the purpose, we collected the views by samples of 80 permanent and 40 seasonal workers on different socio-economic grounds as employment, Income, standard of living, educational standard, social status etc.
