Sociology of Dwelling in Contexts: Between memory and politics. “ALZHIR” Museum and Memorial Complex of Political Repressions and Totalitarianism Victims near Astana in Kazakhstan

Abstract
The article is dedicated to the analysis of ideas created and transmitted by the Museum and Memorial Complex of Political Repressions and Totalitarianism Victims on the former Akmolinsky Camp of Wives of the Traitors of the Motherland (Akmolińskij łagier żon izmiennikow Rodiny) “ALZhiR”. The author focuses on the functioning of the museum “ALZhIR” in the entire internal and external politics of the Kazakhstan state conducted by president Nursultan Nazarbayev and his allies. The museum deals with contents which not only introduce the camp reality, but shows the contents of the support given to the Kazakh state and Kazakh nation as well. The author present the analysis of the aspects of national ideology in the museum. The basic ideas are: glorification of Kazakh history, culture and humanitarism, absolutely requiring giving aid to the people in need.<br/><br/>
