SOME ASPECTS OF INTERNATIONAL LEGAL REGULATION CONDUCTING MARINE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

Abstract
The article deals with the peculiarities of international legal regulation of Maritime activities of States in the World ocean, namely the conduct of marine scientific research. Given the important role played by the oceans in human life as a source of mineral, biological and energy resources, the role of these studies, their relevance and importance for the international community is increasingly growing. The article considers issues of legal regulation of marine scientific research, depending on the impact of the international legal regime of Maritime spaces. Examined the provisions of the UN Convention on the law of the sea regarding the features of the research. Also focuses on peculiarities of the legal status of research vessels. Analyzed the provisions of the Convention regarding the regime of use of research vessels and values in the commercial shipping industry.
