Abstract
The translation is a prestigious and communicative mission which connects a social system to another. A social system, a national system, is obliged to communicate with its periphery. Each national system use the translation as a tool to ensure communication with the other systems. In order to provide communication between the social systems, distinguished communicators are needed. The translation is also loaded with important interaction duty to ensure the external interaction systems of national system which is a closed system. Thanks to translation, a closed social system, can transform into a universal and open system by interacting with its own and other social systems. In this case, it describes that the translation is so important to a nation system and the interaction with its environment. Translation system is one of the internal systems of a nation such as politics, economy, trade, literature, et al. It can be said that the translation for a nation, fill a gap which would not be filled by the other national systems, and therefore could be evaluated as an important sub-system like the economy. The most important and distinguishing feature of the translation is obvious that it has a function, which and serves for the mutual interaction (interaction) with external systems. According to Niklas Luhmann system theory, communication dynamically keeps a system and the translation is the most important means of communication. We will examine the function and importance of the translation in nation and the world system on our report according to the systems theory perspective of N. Luhmann.
