Abstract
The importance of phraseology in communication is widely recognized and it plays an essential role for written and spoken language. Consequently it has a great importance for foreign language learning. The most profilic way to to convey phraseological phrases is by approaching them in their original contexts in the target language and identify their possible exisisting equivalents in the source langauge. The aim of the article is to identify and describe the differences and similarities between contemporary German and Turkish phraseological phrases from the viewpoint of contrastive interlanguage analysis, seen in German horoscope texts. Therefore the object of this study is to compare the usage of phraseology and to illustrate them by typical examples, and equivalence relations on Turkish within German horoscope texts. The findings obtained from a small corpus analysis are expected to help improve the phraseological skills of German learners or its related materials in Turkey.
