SOURCES OF INFORMATION AS A DETERMINANT OF DEMAND FOR NICHE PRODUCTS OF RURAL TOURISM

Abstract

The purpose of the paper was to present the essence of tourism demand and its determinants, as well as to present the effect of information on knowledge and popularity of niche products of rural tourism, for example products of a culinary. The survey included 830 respondents. Awareness of the existence and popularity of the analyzed products was relatively small. It should be noted, however, that the promotion and information activities aimed at promoting them were perceived by the respondents. Dynamising them and giving them a recurring character would contribute to a greater interest by the visitors.
