SOURCES OF OPTICAL RADIATION FOR UNDERWATER WORKS – PROBLEMS AND APPLICATIONS

Abstract
Remote and very precise determination of the dimensions or damage of underwater objects by vision system optics, equipped with various light sources, including laser or sonar, is very important. The optical laser radiation sources becomes a part of supporting the vision examination or inspection of underwater objects of any components and useful in the diagnosis of any objects under the surface. The article combines issues related to photogrammetry, underwater work technology and technical diagnostics. It presents important aspects of using the laser as a source of light in the process of diagnosis using underwater vision image analysis methods. Presented problems, which should be aware during choosing appropriate laser for range in considered water area.
