Abstract
The article presents a comparative analysis of the foundation structures for a vertical cylindrical tank and suggests an improved foundation design that significantly reduces the cost and time of construction. Also, it increases the reliability of the erected structure by increasing resistance to moment and horizontal loads, reducing foundation deflections and pressure on the base plate.
