SPANISH INFLECTION AND ITS TREATMENT IN ELECTRONIC DICTIONARY

Abstract
The present article is devoted to the development of Spanish inflection system development and its treatment in electronic dictionary. Using L-system theory and by V. A. Shyrokov, the conceptual model of L-system for the dictionary in question was built, the principles of Spanish words classification by their inflection features were defined and lexicographic parameter system for representing word inflection in the entry was developed. A formal model of word inflection was proposed, the model consisting of changeable (quasi-flexion) and non-changeable (quasi-stem) components. Quasi-flexions may cover an affix, the whole word form, a part of word stem and word ending. The paradigm is proposed to be built by using a respective set of quasi-flexions added to the quasi-stem of a word. By the set of inflection parameters, each Spanish unit can be put into respective paradigm type, grammar group as well as grammar and paradigm class. The L-system of Spanish inflection dictionary represents a formal object composed by the collection of language units, the totality of their description means, the set of lexicographic structures containing description as well as two operators, the first to establish the correspondence between the headword and its paradigm, and the second to perform lemmatization.
