SPECIAL RAPPORTEUR ON THE RIGHT TO HEALTH: INTERNATIONAL LEGAL STATUS

Abstract
This article examines the international legal status of the Special Rapporteur on the right to health. The author focuses on the place of the Special Rapporteur on the right to health in the United Nations system for the protection of human rights. His mandate is revealed. The main directions of his activity and significance in the development of the concept of the right of everyone to the highest achievable standard of physical and mental health are determined.
