SPECIFICS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL INPUTS MARKET

Abstract
Introduction. Material and technical support of agricultural production plays a decisive role in its intensification and accordingly reflects on the final production results of agricultural practices. Insufficient study of the specifics of the development of the MTR market for agriculture leads to the practice of erroneous actions affecting the interests of agricultural producers. This causes the need for research in this direction. This article aims to identify peculiarities of the development of the market of material and technical resources, in particular for agriculture, to characterize demand and supply on it, and to propose ways to increase the efficiency of functioning of this market taking into account its features. Methods. The research is conducted using scientific knowledge methods, in particular monographic, abstract and logical, analytical, comparison, systematization, induction and deduction. Results. The article gives an overview of various scientific approaches in defining the “market” definition. On the basis of a detailed analysis of different interpretations, an author's variant of this definition is proposed, which should reveal the economic essence of the market through its main function, namely the coordination of interests of both buyers and consumers. The market of material and technical resources is characterized as a special type of industrial market. The specific features of the market of material and technical resources for agriculture that are caused by peculiarities of agrarian production are revealed. The ways of improvement of functioning of this type of the market with the account of the revealed features are offered. Discussion. Further research is expected to be carried out in the direction of determining the role of the state and the functions of state support for the development of the MTP market in the agrarian sector and the development of models of regional markets for certain types of material and technical resources for agriculture.
