SPECTRAL AND CORRELATION ANALYSIS OF SIGNALS WITH CONTINUOUS AND DISCRETE FREQUENCY MODULATION

Abstract

Complex signals are used typically for solving electromagnetic compatibility of radio electronic devices, stable and efficient in their work under intense action of active and passive noise. Using complex signals with linear frequency modulation (LFM), in particular, provides higher resolution than the range and the speed, and can significantly improve information radio. The high-speed ADC application of modern modulators and signal generators methods of direct digital synthesis and direct digital modulation techniques are provides virtually unlimited possibilities to form any type of modulation. In order to modernize and study the possibility of modern digital technology offered the use of a variety of discrete signal with frequency stepping. The paper presents the results of a comparative analysis of spectral and correlation properties of complex signals based on continuous and discrete linear frequency modulation. The above calculation shows that a possible compromise between size and structure ambiguity peaks of the signal. Using of discrete frequency modulation (DFM) signal in systems at conditions of passive noise can improve the quality performance of such systems.
