Abstract

he article is devoted to the justification of the value of philosophy, humanities in general and to the formation of the spiritual foundations of modern high school. Analyzing the problem of spirituality in the context of philosophical and theological discourse the author pays special attention to approaches that distinguish soulful (psychic) and genuine spirituality as essential feature of human existence. The article justifies necessity of the integral development of the human inner world, establishing a dialogue between the rational and the irrational, superrational, cogito u credo. Author raises the questions of overcoming the stereotypes of modern higher education: firstly, opposing the science, philosophy and religion; secondly, to reduce functions of humanitarian education to the general cultural development of a student with no regard to its influence on forming professional qualities of future specialists.
